Can I take Efamol Omega Femme alongside Evening Primrose Oil or other omega supplements?Updated a day ago
Omega Femme can sometimes be combined with other omega supplements, but it's important to check the ingredients and dosages before taking them together.
Omega Femme already contains 1,000mg of Rigel® Evening Primrose Oil per daily serving, providing 115mg GLA, alongside vitamins B6, D3 and E.
Can I take additional Evening Primrose Oil?
Because Omega Femme already contains Evening Primrose Oil, you do not need a separate Evening Primrose Oil supplement.
Taking both would increase your total intake of GLA and any overlapping nutrients.
What about omega-3 fish oil?
Omega Femme contains omega-6 GLA from Evening Primrose Oil, rather than omega-3 DHA and EPA from fish oil.
These are different fatty acids, so an omega-3 supplement provides additional nutrients that aren't present in Omega Femme.
However, it's still important to check the complete ingredient lists and recommended dosages.
Can I take Omega Femme with Active Memory?
The two products provide different nutrients and may be suitable to use together, but both contain vitamin E. Active Memory also contains Ginkgo biloba, which may interact with certain medications.
We recommend confirming that the combination is suitable for you before taking both.
An important note about vitamin B6
Omega Femme provides 10mg vitamin B6 in its recommended daily serving. The NHS advises against taking more than 10mg of vitamin B6 daily from supplements unless recommended by a doctor.
For this reason, avoid combining Omega Femme with additional vitamin B6 supplements without medical advice.
