How do I take Efamol Evening Primrose Oil Dropper?Updated a day ago

Efamol Evening Primrose Oil Dropper is easy to incorporate into your daily routine, whether you prefer to take the oil directly or mix it into food.

How much should I take?

The recommended daily dosage depends on your age and how long you've been taking the product.

First 12 weeks of use (adults only):

  • 2ml per day, taken with food or drink.

We recommend doubling the usual adult dose for the first 12 weeks as an initial period of higher GLA intake. Omega fatty acids are gradually incorporated into the body's cell membranes over time, so consistent daily use is important.

After 12 weeks (maintenance dose):

  • Adults and children aged 12+: 1ml per day.

  • Children aged 5–11 years: 0.5ml per day.

The higher initial dose is recommended for adults only.

How can I take it?

There are two simple options:

  1. Directly into your mouth: Use the dropper to measure the recommended amount and take the oil directly.

  2. Mixed into food or drink: Add the measured oil to yoghurt, smoothies, overnight oats or cooled porridge.

Can I add Evening Primrose Oil to hot food or drinks?

We recommend avoiding adding Evening Primrose Oil to hot food or drinks, as high temperatures can affect the quality of its delicate fatty acids, including GLA.

If you'd like to add the oil to porridge or another warm meal, simply allow it to cool before mixing in the oil.

Our tip: Add the oil to a portion of food you know you'll finish, so you receive the full daily serving.

Always follow the recommended dosage on your product packaging.
